May 28, 2020: Mytheresa has exclusively launched Christian Louboutin’s Nudes collection for both women’s and menswear categories. Embodying diversity, the collection reinterprets the brand’s signature styles in eight nude shades catering to as many different skin colors as possible. “The Nudes shoe doesn’t dress the leg but continues to undress it,” said Louboutin in a statement. “The shoe disappears in favor of the silhouette of the leg, like an illusion. The leg is no longer wearing a shoe: it simply dissolves into a shoe and that’s what gives its radiance.” The collection comprises stilettos adorned with a bow, pumps embellished with silver crystals, plus thick rubber sole slides and low top sneakers. The is also a complementary range of bags and accessories including the LoubiLab bag and its signature studs and contrasting Louboutin red body strap. To accompany the launch is an editorial campaign directed by Mytheresa global creative director Julian Paul and shot by Patrick Houi. It features models Ronja Furrer, Nur Hellmann and Carl Schultz.
May 27, 2020: Four years after their first collaboration, Veja and G.Kero have teamed up once more on two sneakers featuring images of surfers on the Brazilian coast. And considering Veja shoes are made in Brazil, from organic cotton canvas and with rubber soles from the Amazon, it’s a perfect fit. The illustrations created by Marguerite Bartherotte, designer behind G.Kero, have been printed onto Veja’s Nova High Top models for adults and the Esplar Velcro children’s styles.
May 22, 2020: Sebago is joining forces with British heritage menswear brand Baracuta on a capsule fit for summer. The Sebago x Baracuta spring ’20 collection reimagines three designs from the two brands including the SebagoDan Cityside moccasin and Portland Dockside boating shoe as well as the Baracuta classic G9 Harrington jacket. The collection debuts today on both Segago and Baracuta’s websites as well as additional global retailers like East Dane.
May 22, 2020: British men’s brand Duke + Dexter is traveling in the fast lane this season, tapping British Formula One world champion Jenson Button for a collection of styles featuring inspired by the British race car driver’s career. The company is adorning some of its key looks with the series of 19 patches including Button’s number 22 featured on his cars to the iconic Union Jack, in addition to looks detailed with custom prints. The brand even shot the marketing campaign at the 2019 Baja 1000 race, a Mexican off-road motorsport race held each year in Baja, Calif., where Button also participates. The limited-edition collection of 1,000 numbered pairs will launch on May 28, on dukeandexter.com. Retail prices range from $243 – $303.
May 7, 2020: Merrell has teamed up with outdoor goods and apparel brand Filson for a new-look MQM Flex 2 Mid GTX. The light and fast hiker pairs Merrell’s speed focus with Filson’s attention to heritage and durability. From a tech standpoint, the look features tear-resistant athletic uppers, Gore-Tex weatherproof membranes, flexible cushioned midsoles and Merrell’s mountain-grade Quantum Grip outsoles. It is available now via Merrell.com and retails for $160.
May 5, 2020: Guillermo Andrade-founded label 424 has collaborated with Adidas Originals once again, this time on a trio of sneakers including the iconic Superstar. The lineup features the SC Premiere and Pro Model, two looks 424 has remixed before. The SC Premiere is executed in a clean white colorway with a red 424 tag on the tongue. The Pro Model will come in two colorways, white and black, with the 424 logo on the heels. The Superstar, which Adidas Originals said is Guillermo’s all-time favorite sneaker, utilizes an all-white colorway with “Shelltoe” written on the upper in gold and a red and black 424 tag on the tongue. The SC Premiere will retail for $140, the Pro Models will sell for $180 each and a price of $160 has been set for the Superstar. All of the looks will arrive May 8 via Adidas.com.
